Houston Heights Craftsman

Featured in The Houston Chronicle

Our clients purchased a newly built Craftsman style home typical to their neighborhood and despite best efforts, found themselves struggling to find the right feel and flow for their new space, especially in the first-floor public living areas. While not small by New York standards, the clients initially sought our small spaces expertise to maximize the potential of their open-concept living room for their family of five. After we did the unconventional and removed some traditional built-ins freeing up some valuable living space, the project really took off and we worked over the course of a few years to create a cohesive plan for their entire home. We upgraded builder-grade finishes by installing fresh new lighting, pocket doors, and decorative hardware. We reconsidered their palette and painted and wallpapered throughout. We furnished the spaces using a mix of family-friendly choices alongside special splurge-worthy moments. The most important thing we did? We took our time so the results really feel like home.
