Locust Valley Cape

With a toddler son in tow, my clients sought a drastic change in the fall of 2020: leave downtown Manhattan for the suburbs. When they landed the cutest house on the block, we were initially tasked with turning what was a weekend getaway for the previous owners into a primary residence for this kind-hearted young family. We began by focusing on the main floor including renovating the kitchen, replacing all flooring, doors, and trim work, and creating a cohesive decorative plan for the public spaces that best represented their style. When they found out they were expecting another child, we assisted with the expansion of the second floor to create a proper primary suite, the reconfiguration and renovation of the existing bedrooms and bathroom, transforming the screened-in-porch to a year-round sunroom with connecting mudroom, and the corresponding phase two decorative plan to tie it all together. With thoughtful decisions and selections in mind, our clients now have a space that reflects them and valuable room to grow.
