When longtime clients reached out with the exciting news that they had finally “found the one!”, we were honored to collaborate alongside Sebastian von Marschall on such an important mission: design a layered and lively “forever home” perfectly suited for them. Tapping their Southern roots and affinity for classic design, we worked with the clients to create a quintessentially traditional backdrop for their family of five that honored the spirit of the venerable neighborhood, but with an energetic lift. With an eye towards authenticity and a nod towards nostalgia, we carefully weaved together existing family antiques with “new” auction acquisitions, recovered and rethought upholstery rather than replacing or buying new, and carefully considered all new selections with the goal of the renovation and decorative pursuits aging well. The outcome? A delightful family home with a peaceful, enduring energy.
