Lenox Hill Condo Transformation

Our clients have lived in the same building for many years and when a larger apartment on a higher floor with terrific views became available, they sought the opportunity to transform this new space into something really special. The apartment started out as a mostly plain white box lacking character other than the original early 90s pink marble bathrooms and a speckled, granite-tiled kitchen with pickled cabinets. The clients have a modern sensibility and when we determined their desired look would shine best on a traditional backdrop, we looked to some of their favorite designers for inspiration, including Ilse Crawford, who mixes modern needs with traditional environments so well. As part of the renovation, we incorporated beautiful new mouldings, traditional paneling and built-ins to ensure a warm and inviting execution for this more modern interior design scheme. We are especially in awe of the clients’ art collection and the transformation from a simple build-out to a well-loved home that brims with personality.
