Upper East Side Family Apartment
When our clients discovered the perfect prewar apartment in the ideal uptown location, they jumped on the opportunity. The only challenge? Reestablishing the details and charm that had been removed in favor of more modern finishes. We reinstalled trims, cased out doorways, designed a new built-in, and thoughtfully established a decorative plan that would support their classic taste. Having spent time in the United Kingdom for graduate school and as young professionals, the clients wanted to bring the coziness and intimacy of their beloved Oxford flats, but execute with the joy of knowing they will be here a while and their choices have real staying power. We capped off this delightful project by completing the nursery for this newly minted “young family” as they welcomed their first child into the world at the end of 2022.
