Lenox Hill Gut Renovation

Featured in Luxe Magazine - Greater New York

Our clients purchased their estate condition apartment and lived in it for several years (including those intimate stay-at-home pandemic years!) before organizing their priorities for a full-scale renovation and decorative plan. They chose their apartment because they loved the prewar character and wanted to ensure that the necessary gut renovation was a gentle one and would result in a space that was fresh and modern, but had clear nods to the past. With that in mind, we designed black and white mosaic floors for the kitchen, installed plaster mouldings and herringbone floors throughout, selected a traditional double console sink for the primary bathroom, and even opted for reproduction crystal door knobs to match the original ones. The decorative plan worked to support these choices, but with a fun, fresh, and colorful take on this traditional foundation. The best part for this designer? These clients live directly below my Prewar Revamp project, so I had the unique opportunity to execute the exact same apartment in two distinct ways.
